Society of Friends of the Museum of Hamburg History
You – are you a friend of the museum? Are you a new inhabitant
or an old Hamburg citizen? You are interested in the fate of your town
? If you want to get to the bottom of the problems of the present, you
already come by the history of the town. Others write books about this
history. But the museum displays it, wants to make a quiet, detailed
story vivid and collects for it reports about the history of civilization
from twelve centuries:
• on the development of topography and the possibilities of traffic on
water
and on land,
• on the economical and technical history,
• on the erection of the city state with foreign connections
to all parts of the world,
• on the every day life of the citizens and on the colourful urban culture
in architecture, the fine and descriptive arts, music and literature. As an
always well-informed friend of the museum you will experience that the work
on the representation of the history of Hamburg will always continue.
The museum will tell you how you can help. Become
a friend of the Museum of Hamburg History! This museum will appeal
to you.
It is looking for conversationalists, it needs friends who are helpful
with the search and the procurement of cultural evidence, as far as
these reflect the history of Hamburg, which support the research projects
and publications of the results through contributions and donations
managed by the museum. The museum can only exhibit and present in a
logical context, what has previously been thoroughly investigated and
reliably examined.
What do you get out of this friendship?

Finally, you will decide yourself through your engagement to which
degree you can be helpful with the rearrangement of the exhibitions
in the museum. |
